My world of lingerie got a bit bigger when I attended the 2014 fall/winter CURVExpo Designer Lingerie & Swim Show.
This second of two posts shares some of the new brands that I met and a sample of the styles you can buy now, or find in stores this Fall.
The vendors at the show represented a wide range of lingerie possibilities: from small, high-end designers to larger, well-known manufacturers. Some were new to this particular trade show, even though they've been in business much longer.
Dollhouse Bettie, located San Francisco, is a familiar brand to The Breast Life readers. They sell many retro-inspired lingerie styles, along with their own original designs. It was great to see their pin-up worthy babydolls, luxurious robes, and even vintage stockings, in person.
Lorna Drew Nursing Lingerie was known to me before I stopped off at their booth. Their brand made news when the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, wore one of their bras. They were also recognized as the 2013 UK Lingerie Maternity Brand of the Year. I was delighted to find both the founder, Lorna Drew, and her mother, at the show. Lorna Drew's stylish nursing bras feature a clasp that allows you to adjust the bra by 3 cup sizes; perfect for adapting to fluctuating breast milk supplies.
Dimanche Lingerie is an Italian lingerie wholesaler focused on two lines in their collection. The first is geared toward bridal and everyday lingerie sets. The second is more fashion-forward and limited to one season. Check out the super-sexy bra with show-off worthy metal front closure and back straps.
Which of these brands appeal to you most? Do you like how the world of lingerie is expanding or do you think there's enough choice? Anything else you'd like to see?
