Think there's not much choice in sizes or styles in the world of lingerie? This week's CURVExpo Lingerie & Swim Show would prove you wrong.
It's the largest lingerie trade show in the United States, with over 350 vendors. Retailers attend twice a year to decide what they want to carry in their stores. And the Fall/Winter 2014 season trade show had more new brands than ever before. Nearly every imaginable category is represented, including small and full bust, plus-size, luxury, vintage, maternity, post-surgical, swimwear, sleepwear, shapewear, and stockings and hosiery.
It was impossible to visit every brand, but I caught up with a few new lines that I've never seen before. I'll be posting pictures on the blog this week to give you a little taste of what will be coming soon to a store near you (or at least via the Internet). Please chime in on the comments below and let me know what you like best.
I was overwhelmed by the offerings but delighted to see the variety of colors, fabrics, and sizes available, and the retail prices represented. (And excuse some fuzzy pictures since I left my glasses on the plane! Sheesh.)
Bluebella hails from the London and has both casual and sensual pieces of its collection. They've got edgy lacy bras with cutouts and corsets, too. I love the attention to detail and the youthful feminine designs.
Cache Coeur is a maternity lingerie brand from France. Their nursing bras are stylish and sexy (including high waist panties with garters or suspenders). They also design practical and playful casual wear and gorgeous maternity swimwear.
Flirty Pretty Things is designed in London, and is a more affordable range from parent luxury lingerie brand Dirty Little Things. I adore this hot pink and leopard bra!!
