Where do you shop for Halloween costumes? Do you create your own or buy one?
I'm a DIY Halloween costume kind of girl. I start with what's in my closet and then shop thrift or party stores for accessories. Dramatic make-up, crazy masks, or cheap wigs go a long way to complete any creative ideas.
Lingerie, when worn as outerwear, is a great place to start when designing your Halloween costume. It doesn't mean you need to go super-sexy, either. Underbust corsets can be worn over dresses, or with long skirts, or under capes. There are plenty of ways to style rompers, robes, and full corsets to capture an era or theme. You can add fashion stockings, gloves, and masks that can later be paired with everyday styles or used in boudoir play. At the very least, it stretches the dollars you pay out to put together an original costume.
