The plus size, small bust bra market has been very slow to grow. With all of the excited talk about lingerie brands extending their band sizing, smaller cups haven't received much attention.
While these companies may offer larger band sizes, most of their cup sizes start at D or higher. This is no surprise as most women with larger band sizes also have more breast tissue which necessitates a larger cup size as well. But not all women fall into this category.
There's an incredibly underserved population of plus size women who are also small busted. It's frustrating to fall outside of the standard band sizes seen at your local mall, especially so if you also fall outside of the cup sizes of the specialty brands that do make these larger bands. You've either got brands who specialize in larger bands or you've got brands that specialize in smaller cups. So where do the two meet?
We found 12 really pretty plus size bras for small busts that had band sizes between 40 - 50, with cup sizes that started at AA-B. You'll note that there are a lot more options that start with a B cup. If you find that you fall just outside of a favorite bra's size range, don't despair! Remember that when you're looking for a bra to consider your "sister bra" sizes to find a great fit. For example, if your best fit is a 46A, consider looking at a 44B and using an extender for the band.
