It’s a marketplace that’s dominated by bland and utilitarian-looking options. But as AnaOno puts it, “Our doctors are the experts in cancer, not necessarily in fashion options.” So they’re here to bring style and fun back into your wardrobe!

And now, they’re doing post-mastectomy swimwear too. Like the lingerie line, the brand’s debut swim collection is designed to be both chic and practical. It has been created with three key goals in mind.

First, to look good. There are enough boring options out there already. Second, to work for a variety of ages, because breast cancer can strike in your sixties or your twenties. And third, to provide a perfect fit regardless of the surgery type you’ve had. Whether you’ve got one boob, two boobs, or no boobs, there’s something here for you.

Cassis Ruffle is the non-pocketed swimsuit option. It will work for any shape but has been designed mainly with those who’ve gone flat on one or both sides. The wide, draped ruffles will add volume to the upper chest and disguise unevenness. Plus it’s entirely on trend this season too!

The Cortez Keyhole swimsuit will also work for any post-surgery figure. However, this one’s pocketed, so you’ve got the option of wearing it with a breast form. It’s trimmed all round with wide logo elastic---another current trend.

Prefer bikinis? The Cassis Wrap top once again works excellent on all chests, including flat. The soft, adjustable wrap contours perfectly to whatever shape you have on either side. And the matching bottoms are both high-waisted so you can cover scars from related surgeries such as a DIEP flap.

Finally, the Cortez Halter top is best suited to those with a small or flat chest. It feels a little like the odd one out, without a specific matching bottom. However, thanks to the same black color and sporty styling, it pairs well with the Cassis Wrap bikini brief. Add the mesh swim t-shirt for an extra-sporty vibe.

The high neckline of this halter bikini top is, once again, bang on trend. More than that though, it both covers upper-chest scarring and protects skin that radiation therapy has left sun-sensitive. And speaking of sun-sensitivity, all AnaOno swimwear is made from UPF 50 fabric. It will offer enhanced protection against both UVA and UVB rays.

“Everything was made with the breast cancer patient in mind” their website reads. And to prove it, they’ve photographed the swimwear on a variety of models who have all been affected by breast cancer themselves. All with different post-surgery shapes, but all looking equally fab in their well-fitted swim styles!

The entire collection is now half price since we’re coming up to the end of swimwear season. But it’s always good to have a cute swim look or two in your wardrobe right? Especially since these pieces will likely be long gone by the time summer 2019 rolls around.
